How to use this AB Split Test Calculator
Enter # of Visitors - Here you enter how many visitors for each panel saw that particular panel. If you are testing PPC ads clickthrough you would enter ad impressions here, and if you were testing email opens enter how many email addresses in your list were sent to each panel here.
Enter # of Goals Completed - Here you enter how many visitors for thatpanel completed whatever goal you are testing for - it could be conversions for a landing page, clicks on your PPC ads, opens for testing an email, and so forth.
The Conversion Rate is - The conversion rate for each panel will be displayed here for you. In the case of the split test calculator declaring that you have a statistically significant winner, you will be able to determine which panel is the winner by looking at the conversion rate of each and selecting the panel with the higher conversion rate. In the case the split test calculator does not delcare a statistically significant winner, although you may have a panel that is converting better than the other, it is not the winner as the results are not statistically significant.
Confidence Level is - This calculator uses a confidence level of 95% to determine if there is a statistically significant winner in your split test. In laymans terms, the confidence level will let you know how confident you can be that the results you are seeing are in fact representative of the actual conversion rate if you were to let the test run for a longer period of time. The confidence level for your test will be displayed automatically for you here.
